Novice Tournaments run for the month of October and are only open to new student competitors. Novices are required to attend at least two of their four first semester tournament requirements during novice season. Up to three novice tournaments will be counted towards the novice first semester tournament requirements, however novices are encouraged attend all four tournaments. They must still attend at least one varsity tournament first semester.
The Varsity competitors have an obligation to judge at least one novice tournament.
