Congratulations To George Washington Speech and Debate at the 2022 National Tournament!
This past summer we returned to an in-personal National Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky and we are proud to announce that George Washington Speech and Debate placed in the top ten teams overall at the tournament.
This achievement earned us the coveted title of "School of Outstanding Distinction" .
We had 18 competitors in the tournament and 14 of them advanced in at least one event over the course of the week.

Sammie Armatas: 4th place Humorous Interpretation, 4-time Qualifier Award
Kailey Seija: 6th place Informative Speaking
Jenna Bryant: 3rd place in Asynchronous Expository Speaking
Kate Parsons: 4th place in Asynchronous Commentary and 5th place in Asynchronous Expository Speaking
Katie Jack and Maria Cook: Top 20 Policy Debate
Gabri Notov: semi-finals in Impromptu Speaking, Octa-finals Spoken Word Poetry
Ivan Levitt: Top 60 Original Oratory, Quarter-finals Expository Speaking
Liliana Feeny and Sabrina Fox: Advanced to elimination round 9 of Public Forum Debate
Kalina Kulig: Advanced to elimination round 9 of Lincoln Douglas Debate
Mia Ferrero-Lampron: Advanced to round 8 of Extemp Debate
Reece Christian: Advanced to round 7 of Extemp Debate
Josh Dupree: Advanced to out rounds of Commentary and Storytelling.
