Varsity Grade Requirements

Participants in this course will continue their journey in their chosen competitive event or will try out an entirely new event or events. Students after their first year will also begin taking on leadership roles in class and will mentor the younger/less experienced students

Overview of Requirements

1. Participate in in-class debates and presentations; a large portion of your grade will be based on speaking in-class. Beware that missing block period on a regular basis will hurt your grade as this is when points may be awarded for in-class debates and speaking.
2. Meet the individual assignment requirements for the event in which you choose                                                to participate. These assignments will involve research and writing inside and outside of class.
3. Judge at a novice tournament in October 
4. Compete in at least 3 tournaments each semester.
